Nelson Multicultural Council is located at No.4 Bridge Street and is part on the Nelson Multicultural Resource Centre which was officially opened on 3rd August 2009 by Kerry Marshall, Mayor of Nelson and Richard Kempthorne, Mayor of Tasman

• Pansy Wong M.P. visits Centre

Hon. Pansy Wong M.P. Minister of Ethnic Affairs and Women’s Affairs paid a visit to the Nelson Multicultural Resource Centre on 1 December 2009. She met with the people who work in the centre and heard how services are working in Nelson/Tasman. She also listened to concerns regarding the government’s commitment to refugee settlement, especially in regard to English Language tuition.
