Race Unity DayAlso on view were art & crafts. Many attendees were able to chat with people from the different cultural communities that call Nelson “home”. Several organizations make use of the event to get their particular message across and this year we were proud to update the public on the development of SPEAK OUT Nelson Tasman, a reporting system for racist incidents in our region. This was our first attempt at making our event as near Zero Waste as possible and we thank everyone for your support in this. A big thanks to our funders: Nelson City Council, Family & Community Services, MSD, Creative Communities NZ, the people of Nelson for your kind donations and the following people, businesses and agencies who made it all happen!
